ASSAYTrack

Accurate and real-time elemental grade determination of rock formations, Launching in Australian Iron-Ore.

Assay track logo

High fidelity grade and contaminant elemental analysis, delivered before blasting.

Traditional methods for blasthole chip collection and analysis are slow, liable to sampling errors, and require personnel on bench for long periods of time. ASSAYTrack™ uses start-of-the-art pulsed neutron technology to excite the formation surrounding the blasthole and measure the corresponding gamma ray response, delivering a near real-time measurement of the elemental composition of the blasthole.

The detailed and accurate measurement delivered by ASSAYTrack™ enables a high density, 3D model of grade and contaminants within your bench, providing visibility where there was previously uncertainly. Engineered from the ground up for mining applications - from materials of construction to rapid maintenance change outs - ASSAYTrack™ unlocks precision mining decisions that were previously unimaginable

Pulsed Fast and Thermal Neutron Activation (PFTNA)

ASSAYTrack™ uses PFTNA, a technique which uses a miniature linear accelerator to deliver several hundred million high-energy neutrons per second on demand when downhole. Interactions between the neutrons and elements present in the rock generate gamma rays, allowing direct determination of the elements present and their abundance.

High quality measurements

The electronically controlled ASSAYTrack™ neutron source delivers a higher neutron flux compared to alternate technologies, boasting enhanced precision in timing. High efficiency detectors with sharp energy resolution, coupled with advanced response characterisation, delivers crisp spectral responses and reduce statistical uncertainty, yielding more precise answers.

Deeper analysis

ASSAYTrack™ has been optimised to capture measurements as close to the bottom of the tool, and therefore bottom of the hole, as possible. This enhances the data acquired from the orebody, providing extensive insights which can maximise recovery efforts.

Repeatable workflows

ASSAYTrack™ is characterised in a known environment before deployment. Alternatives in market depend on extensive assay data to build a machine learning estimate of the response of each tool, resulting in high costs and the ongoing need for field labs. ASSAYTrack™ measurement corrects for temperature, borehole, fluid and other environmental variations, delivering a reliable, repeatable measurement, independent of the environment and tool receiving the data.
